About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Integration Developer with a strong background in healthcare data exchange and integration technologies, including HL7, FHIR, EDI, and X12 standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Mirth integration engine and a proven track record of integrating leading EMR/EHR systems. Expertise in payer integration is a significant advantage.

You will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining interfaces that ensure seamless data exchange between systems, enhancing interoperability and operational efficiency. This position is based in Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities:

Interface Development & Maintenance:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy interfaces using the Mirth integration engine.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data exchange standards such as HL7, FHIR, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and X12 transactions.

EMR/EHR Integration:

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to integrate leading EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts).
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing interfaces for better performance and accuracy.

Payer Integration:

• Work on integrations involving payer systems, focusing on eligibility, claims, remittance, and prior authorizations.
• Address complex payer-specific requirements for seamless data flow.

Data Mapping & Transformation:

• Perform data mapping, transformation, and normalization to ensure compatibility between disparate systems.

Collaboration & Support:

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including software developers, implementation specialists, and healthcare stakeholders, to deliver robust integration solutions.
• Provide support and documentation for deployed interfaces, including monitoring and maintenance.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all interfaces adhere to healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and other regional compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

Integration Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with the Mirth integration engine (or similar tools).
• Proficiency in healthcare data standards: HL7 (v2/v3), FHIR, X12 (837, 835, 270/271), and other EDI standards.

EMR/EHR Experience:

• Prior experience integrating major EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms).
• Technical Proficiency:
• Programming skills in JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).

Problem Solving:

• Ability to analyze and resolve complex integration issues efficiently.

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in payer systems integration and understanding of payer-provider workflows.
• Knowledge of cloud-based integration platforms or healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., SMART on FHIR).
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s / master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 6-8+ years of experience in healthcare IT with a focus on integration.
