Summary

Job Description

Engages cross-functionally with other technical / engineering teams to define product quality requirements (quality figures, CTQ, acceptance criteria), determine hardware design direction, develop concepts, drive production processes and test prototypes. Plans, Conducts and documents thorough quality-control tests to ensure that hardware operates properly, is defect-free, robust, and meets specified standards and end-user requirements. Analyzes and performs tests to reproduce and resolve problems. Reports progress on QA project status and problem resolution to leadership. Develops test methods and tools to automate and harmonize test procedures as needed. Drives continual process improvements in the evolution of testing procedures and test coverage for future replication.

Responsibilities

Provides Hardware Quality Engineering support for complex product and process areas.

Coordinates, implements and monitors corrective action systems.

Leads quality activities for project development, ensuring effective application of standard processes.

Plans and leads design verification testing and ensures the appropriate usage of statistical QA methods.

Performs appropriate analyses on laboratory tests and field performance data.

Evaluates materials, parts, subassemblies and service capabilities for quality and conformance.

Provides technical assistance to design groups and QA teams concerning application of robust design, probability, statistics, experiment design, test planning and sampling plans.

Leverages knowledge and experience to contribute to customer facing activities such as technical briefings and customer response calls.

Recommends and helps implement continuous process improvement.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
