Summary

Smarttech247 are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior GRC Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Governance, Risk, and Compliance and will be responsible for supervising the GRC team on our client’s side, providing strategic direction and ensuring the successful execution of various GRC initiatives. This role requires a proactive leader who can operationalise risk processes in GRC tools, overhaul metrics catalogues and manage or execute tasks independently.


This role would require providing dedicated support to our client in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.


This is initially 12 month fixed term role with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the GRC team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Operationalise risk processes within GRC tools, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Overhaul and maintain the metrics catalogue, ensuring it meets organisational needs and compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement GRC strategies, policies, control standards and procedures.
  • Manage client assurance tasks such as insurance policy, audits and ISO27001 certification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of GRC initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on GRC activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the GRC program.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on GRC.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of GRC tools and technologies.
  • Experience with ISO27001 certification and SOX compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC).
