POSITION

Graphic Designer & Video Editor

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Graphic Design & Visual Storytelling: Design visually stunning graphics for marketing campaigns, social media, website, and digital ads. Ensure that all designs align with Nakamichi’s brand identity and maintain a high standard of quality.
• Video Editing & Motion Graphics: Create and edit high-quality video content for product launches, promotional videos, social media clips, and internal projects. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is essential.
• Creative Direction & Project Management: Lead creative projects from concept to completion. Manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure deliverables are met. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, including freelance renders, animators, printing suppliers and other creative partners
• Vendor Management: Source, liaise, and negotiate with external creative vendors. Ensure high-quality deliverables within budget and timeline.
• Brand Consistency: Uphold Nakamichi’s brand guidelines across all visual assets. Continuously refine and elevate the brand’s visual identity to enhance its premium positioning.
• Creative Problem Solving: Develop creative solutions for complex design challenges. Adapt visual concepts based on feedback and evolving project requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest design trends, video editing techniques and creative tools. Proactively suggest improvements to enhance creative quality.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

• 3+ years of experience in graphic design and video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in both areas.
• Mastery of Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects). Experience with 3D rendering software (e.g., Blender, Cinema 3D) is a plus.
• Strong Visual Storytelling Skills: Ability to transform complex ideas into visually compelling stories across static and dynamic formats.
• Project Management Experience: Proven ability to manage multiple design and video projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
• Vendor Management Skills: Experience working with external creative partners.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: You are proactive in identifying design challenges and proposing creative solutions.
• Collaboration Skills: You thrive in a team environment, communicate clearly, and can incorporate feedback to improve designs.
• A Keen Eye for Detail: You ensure pixel-perfect design implementation and maintain design consistency across all projects.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate design concepts, provide clear feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A passion for audio & technology – a huge plus!
• Fluency in Mandarin (to liaise with China-based teams and partners).
