Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and manage geotechnical projects, providing expert analysis and solutions to complex engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations and analyses for various projects.
- Design and review geotechnical engineering solutions, including foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems.
- Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee field testing to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and interns in the geotechnical field.
- Collaborate with civil engineering teams to integrate geotechnical aspects into overall project design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred but not required.
- Strong technical knowledge of geotechnical principles and practices, including soil mechanics and foundation design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.
