Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to join our agile software development team. You will play a key role in bridging business needs with technical delivery, working closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders. Your strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and understanding of agile processes will help deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and testers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Produce detailed documentation using UML, BPMN, and maintain traceability in Jira/Confluence.
• Perform functional analysis for integrations using API and SQL technologies.
• Support the development and testing teams during implementation and validation phases.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT to ensure solution alignment.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and review sessions.
• (Nice to have) Occasionally assume responsibilities of a Product Owner, managing priorities and roadmaps when needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst in a software development environment (preferably Agile/Scrum).
• Strong technical knowledge of API design, SQL, and data structures.
• Proficient with UML and BPMN for process and system modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for documentation and tracking.
• Comfortable working in a technical environment with .NET, SQL, API, and Azure DevOps tools.

Nice to Have:

• Experience acting as or working closely with a Product Owner.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud environments.
