The role

Driva is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the Customer Team to help improve and evolve our customer journeys, interfaces, and touch points. Your contributions will ensure scalability, performance, and technical excellence while delivering an outstanding user experience for our growing customer base.

What You Will Be Doing

• Act as a technical leader and role model, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and a positive team culture.
• Lead the design and development of scalable, distributed systems and ensure high-quality, production-ready code.
• Drive architectural discussions and contribute to technical thought leadership to align systems with business goals.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Advocate for and implement security best practices, contributing to Driva’s security-first mindset.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and proactively drive solutions to enhance system performance and stability.
• Use operational data and insights to advocate for performance improvements and drive monitoring efforts.
• Break down work into manageable units for incremental delivery, prioritising tasks and managing dependencies.

Your Experience

• Significant experience as a Software Engineer, including leading the development of complex systems.
• Experience with React or other modern front-end frameworks.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, or Java).
• Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS), containerisation technologies (Docker), and serverless architecture.
• Strong proficiency in database design and optimisation (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress.
• Expert understanding of software development lifecycles, best practices, and architectural principles.
• Demonstrated ability to write testable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make responsible decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment.
