About The Role

We have an excellent opportunity with great career prospects for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our growing engineering team, working on software used by some of the largest organizations across the globe. This role will be instrumental in driving the continued modernisation of our SaaS platform, utilising today's best practices in architecture, performance and scalability.

You'll be working closely our engineering leads, contributing both individually, and through mentorship to a smaller set of direct reports. You'll be involved in high level architecture decisions and support the evolution of our platform. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, ownership, and great technical design.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain a robust and scalable application, using React, TypeScript, .NET/C# and ASP.NET and similar modern stacks
  • Analyse existing performance and scalability - and develop solutions that further improve on this as numbers of users grow within our platforms
  • Optimise database designs and decisions in a high transaction, multi-user environment
  • Participate in peer code reviews, providing guidance and analysis of architectural decisions and their implications


Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience in full stack development, as well as a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
  • Proficient in building applications with React and Typescript, using tools such as VS Code and Visual Studio
  • Strong experience with C#/.NET/ASP.NET, including object-oriented concepts, REST API, and server-side architecture
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, dependency management, and performance/memory profiling and analysis
  • Good understanding of database design and optimisation amongst different database forms, including vectorisation for AI readiness
  • Good communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills


Nice to have

  • Awareness of AI and where it can aid in the software development process, as well as utilising AI services
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, as well as micro-services and serverless architectures


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Ability to create clear and complete requirements and designs, so there is minimal back and forth from developers
  • Complete development tasks quickly end to end, to aid the team in their sprint milestones
  • Low defect rates in the product, so less time is spent diagnosing and rectifying defects and more time on improving our platform
  • Designing and leading implementation of significant initiatives that unlocks performance or improves scalability of the platform in each major release
  • Demonstrate ongoing improvements to average and maximum page load times
