Location: Dedham, MA or Taunton, MA



Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance



Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site (flexible 9/80 schedule, every other Friday off)



Salary Range: $180,000 - $190,000/year



Relocation: Available



Overview

Glocomms is partnering with a leading defense manufacturing organization to bring on an FGPA Design Verification Engineer based in Dedham or Taunton Massachusetts. You'll have the opportunity to join a high-performing team developing secure, mission-critical hardware systems; leading verification efforts for complex FPGA designs, ensuring functionality, reliability, and cybersecurity compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement verification strategies for complex FPGA-based systems.
  • Develop and maintain testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
  • Create and execute comprehensive test plans based on system requirements and design specifications.
  • Perform functional and code coverage analysis, assertion-based verification, and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design and verification issues.
  • Contribute to secure design practices and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Support integration and validation of FPGA designs in system-level environments.
  • Document verification processes, results, and contribute to design reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Strong experience with SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with VHDL or other hardware description languages.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as Questa or ModelSim.
  • Solid understanding of FPGA design flows and verification methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OVM/UVM methodologies in secure or defense-related environments.
  • Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA architectures and toolchains.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure hardware design practices.
  • Experience with formal verification, assertions, and functional coverage metrics.
  • Background in ASIC design or verification is a plus.
