About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Reporting Data Analyst with a strong background in healthcare finance to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming complex financial data into actionable insights, driving informed decision-making across the organization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and enhance reporting tools that support compliance, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain financial and operational reporting tools for healthcare-related metrics.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Extract and manipulate large datasets from ERP, EMR, and data warehouse systems to generate meaningful analysis.
  • Identify and analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators to support business planning and budgeting.
  • Support the financial planning & analysis (FP&A) team with ad-hoc reporting and modeling.
  • Ensure financial data integrity and compliance with GAAP, healthcare regulations, and internal controls.
  • Partner with accounting, clinical, and operational teams to improve reporting processes and data accuracy.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions through data visualization and automation using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of financial reporting or data analysis experience, including at least 3 years in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, payer contracts, cost accounting, and regulatory reporting (e.g., CMS, Medicare/Medicaid).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and at least one BI platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday, SAP) and healthcare-specific systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of value-based care, population health metrics, and quality reporting.
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or other data analytics tools is a plus.
