Overview

We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst on our Gallagher Bassett Team!

 

This is an exciting new role and will be responsible for working on a variety of financial processes in this division.


How you'll make an impact


Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Support the finance team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop, update, and analyze financial models to aid in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actuals and forecasts, providing insights to management on key financial metrics

• Budgeting & Forecasting:


o Assist in the annual budgeting process and support continuous forecasting efforts.
o Track financial performance by monitoring variances and recommending corrective actions where necessary


• Data & Decision Support:

 

o Prepare financial presentations and reports for senior management to inform key business decisions.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Product Management, Operations) to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies
o Provide financial analysis and operational data to internal stakeholders, including dashboards and KPIs


• Operational Performance & Special Projects:


o Participate in operational benchmarking, cost reduction initiatives, and identify areas for performance improvements
o Act as a finance liaison for designated operating locations within the division, providing insights and support
o Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests, maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

About You

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience required
  • Strong excel and financial management software skills are essential

Preferred: 

  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles & procedures
  • Understanding revenue and expenditures
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Able to learn new systems quickly
  • Adaptability/willingness to work in a fast changing environment
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work as a strategic business partner
  • Experience with developing and implementing process improvements
