Job Description
The Senior Finance Analyst reports to the Associate director of Immunology - Rheumatology and is responsible for accounting and financial planning & analysis with respect to Actuals, Plans, Updates, Latest Best Estimates (LBE), Long Range Plans (LRP) and Ad-Hoc analysis as needed in order to support the day-to-day operations and strategic plans for the Immunology franchise. The immunology franchise supports Humira, an established brand along with more recently launched assets Rinvoq & Skyrizi with multiple future indications requiring adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Tracks promotional/non-promotional budget and analyses monthly actual financial results for the franchise including comparisons against Plan/Update/LBE to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Supports the planning process for all P&L expense areas and headcount (i.e. marketing, promotion, sales force, cost of goods, royalty expenses).
- Performs monthly flash/close activities including headcount reporting, variance analysis, as well as a monthly management package with variance commentary and key issues highlighted.
- Prepares ad-hoc analysis and participates on project teams as required.
- Interacts with all levels of management to communicate financial implications, guidance, and recommendations.
- Partners with the brand leads to learn the business needs and delivers meaningful insights.
- Prepares Ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Execute priorities established by Manager with speed and agility.
- Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient Excel skills required.
- Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus.
