The Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer role presents an exceptional opportunity to shape the infrastructure that enables semiconductor innovation. This position combines technical leadership with strategic facility management, directly impacting Natcast's ability to advance semiconductor research and development through reliable, efficient mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead implementation of advanced mechanical infrastructure projects
- Manage critical systems including HVAC, cleanroom, and process utilities
- Develop comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems
- Lead energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team
- Support capacity planning and facility expansion projects
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors
- Drive continuous improvement of system performance
Required Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of mechanical/facilities engineering experience
- 5+ years semiconductor or cleanroom environment experience
- Expertise in cleanroom HVAC and environmental control systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and mechanical design software
- Strong knowledge of building codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC)
- Excellence in project management and leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated success in team collaboration
- Experience with facility monitoring and control systems
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Fab construction or retrofit project experience
- LEED accreditation
- PMP certification
- Experience with factory automation systems
- Knowledge of SCADA and Building Management Systems
- Expertise in energy optimization strategies
