Technology Executive Recruiter – IT Staffing Full Desk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Technology Executive Recruiter to join our fast-paced IT staffing firm. This is a full desk role, meaning you will be responsible for both business development (client acquisition and relationship management) and full-cycle recruitment of IT executive talent. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while simultaneously identifying and delivering top-tier IT leadership (CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, etc.) that align with strategic hiring goals. This role requires a strong blend of sales, relationship management, and talent acquisition expertise within the IT domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Development & Account Management (Sales Side):

  • Proactively identify, target, and engage potential clients through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry research.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities by initiating and nurturing client relationships.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand clients’ hiring strategies, organizational structures, and technical requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for client accounts, maintaining long-term relationships and providing consultative support.
  • Deliver market intelligence to clients, including compensation trends, competitor activity, and candidate availability.

Candidate Recruitment (Delivery Side):

  • Source, attract, and engage executive and senior-level IT professionals using a combination of tools
  • Conduct in-depth candidate assessments, including behavioral interviews and technical evaluations, to ensure a strong match.
  • Manage all aspects of the recruitment lifecycle: from candidate sourcing and screening to client submission, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain a robust talent pipeline by building relationships with high-caliber IT leaders.
  • Guide candidates through the interview process while setting clear expectations and providing ongoing communication and feedback.

Operations & Collaboration:

  • Leverage ATS/CRM systems to track recruitment activity, client interactions, candidate progress, and performance metrics.
  • Work in close coordination with internal teams including recruiters and account managers to maximize efficiency and meet shared goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years focused on executive or senior-level IT placements.
  • Demonstrated experience in full desk recruiting or a 360-degree recruitment model.
  • Strong understanding of IT roles and technical terminology (cloud, cybersecurity, software development, infrastructure, etc.).
  • Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships in a staffing or executive search firm.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized and results-driven, with the ability to manage competing priorities and hit metrics.
  • Proficient in using recruitment tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS/CRM platforms, Boolean search).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience placing IT executives in both contract and direct-hire roles.
  • Existing network of IT leaders in specific verticals (e.g., finance, healthcare, SaaS).
  • Certified in behavioral interviewing or recruitment methodologies (e.g., AIRS, SHRM).
  • Knowledge of sales lifecycle and staffing industry best practices.
