Job Overview:

This role plays a pivotal role in managing the full lifecycle of JA Malaysia’s education and entrepreneurship programs—from ideation to execution—while cultivating and sustaining meaningful partnerships. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end project management, developing new program opportunities, managing internal teams, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring smooth administrative and operational implementation. The individual must be a proactive, people-oriented leader with strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.


Main Role:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of program delivery from concept design, proposal writing, implementation, monitoring, and impact evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Program Coordinator to identify strategic focus areas and develop new program frameworks aligned with JA Malaysia’s mission.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects with clear project plans, deliverables, and resource allocation. 
  • Ensure all programs meet quality standards, timelines, budgets, and impact metrics in line with strategic objectives. 
  • To engage and develop a sound working relationship with various stakeholders’ (students, teachers, schools, sponsors, authorities, and JA Team) to promote and deliver fun and exciting JA Programs.
  • To ensure the compilation of qualitative and quantitative feedback and reports, and to identify and implement improvements.
  • Supervise and support a small team of project coordinators, interns, or volunteers.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate a real interest in engaging with students and the ability to bring experiential learning to supplement formal curriculum.
  • The ability to motivate and energize all stakeholders in the JA Programs is essential.


Supplementary Role:

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to ensure a collaborative and productive team culture.
  • Well-versed or IT inclined on software such as and not limited to: Learning Management System (LMS), Woo-Commerce, Website design (Wix), Mobile Apps, Design Tools (Adobe Photoshop, Canva), Video Creation and Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), etc. will be an added advantage.
  • To develop program and teaching content to develop the Digital Skills/STEM/Entrepreneurship of Malaysian youth.
  • Provide information management input into the planning and data/information management process; on data gathering and analysis, quality assurance, performance monitoring, information dissemination and management.
  • Ensure timely documentation, record-keeping, and compliance with reporting requirements for each program.


Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Development Studies, Psychology, Project Management, or related fields.
  • Candidates with a Diploma with good practical skills are welcomed to apply.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in program/project management, partnerships, or related roles, preferably in the non-profit or education sector.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia. 
  • Vibrant and engaging personality.
  • Ability to work with and support a team.
  • Demonstrates initiative and good at multi-tasking and work independently to achieve project targets/outcomes.


Added Advantage:

  1. Have a car for travel to workshop locations – highly desired.
  2. Able to communicate and/or understand Mandarin and/or Tamil will be a strong added advantage.

  • Internal: Executive Director, Program Director, Finance Team, Communications Team, Project Coordinators
  • External: Corporate and Foundation Partners, Government Agencies, Schools and Educational Institutions, Vendors, Volunteers
