JOB OVERVIEW

Ensure effective risk management, governance, and internal control processes through independent audits, aiding organizational objectives, asset protection, and compliance with laws and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Audit Plan Development: Collaborate in creating comprehensive audit plans to ensure organizational goals are met.
2. Audit Leadership and Supervision: Lead and oversee audit engagements, providing guidance to the audit team.
3. Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
4. Internal Control Evaluation: Assess and evaluate internal controls and processes for effectiveness and compliance.
5. Audit Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations for management.
6. Audit Recommendations Follow-Up: Ensure follow-up on audit recommendations to confirm implementation and effectiveness.
7. Audit Methodology Support: Assist in the development and refinement of audit program and methodologies.
8. Staff Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior audit staff, fostering professional growth.
9. Interdepartmental Liaison: Act as a liaison with other departments to facilitate communication and cooperation during audits.
10. Documentation Management: Maintain thorough documentation and audit evidence for future reference and compliance.
11. Special Projects Participation: Engage in ad hoc consultancy and special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 4 years of working experience in the related field is required.
• Degree/professional qualification in Accountancy, Finance, Business Studies or Economics and a member of a professional accountancy body or Institute of Internal Auditors is also preferred.
• Able to travel up to 20% within the region for audit.
• Great communication skills with attention to detail.
• Possess strong organizational skills, sound judgement and good critical thinking and analytical skills.
