Job Title: Senior Estimator

Compensation: 140k - 165k Base Salary + Performance Bonus

Job Description:

A dynamic organization in the infrastructure development sector is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Estimator. This role will focus on supporting the expansion of our project pipeline, which encompasses a diverse range of initiatives such as roadways, utilities, and large-scale structural builds. Project values span from 10 million contracts to 300 million-dollar ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the cost assessment process during project pursuits, guiding a team through planning, reviews, and strategic discussions with leadership.
• Evaluate technical documents, designs, and proposals to develop accurate and competitive cost projections.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., strategy, compliance, and procurement) to craft responses to project bids and proposals.
• Provide actionable insights during the planning phase, advising on cost-effective design options and facilitating decision-making with project partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope and pricing.
• Represent the organization at industry gatherings and foster professional networks.
• Monitor compliance with project goals and propose solutions to keep initiatives on track.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Preferred: Degree in a field like Project Management, Engineering, or Construction Management
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cost estimation, ideally within infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
• At least 5 years of leading bidding efforts in a hands-on preconstruction setting.
• Proficiency with tools such as cost estimation software like HCSS Heavy Bid and Takeoff Software
• Firm grasp of construction techniques, resource allocation, and scheduling integration.
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence peers, and engage with senior stakeholders effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a proactive approach to managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
