We are a distinguished heavy civil contractor with 30+ years of experience just north of Dallas. We specialize in concrete paving, underground utilities, earthwork, and full infrastructure solutions for both public and private clients. Our focus is on quality, trust, and long-term client satisfaction.

We’re looking for an Estimator (or Senior Estimator, depending on experience) to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. You’ll analyze project plans, gather quotes, compile bids, and support project teams throughout the pre-construction process. This role also includes mentoring junior estimators and staying updated on industry costs and trends.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
• Collect bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Submit accurate and timely project bids
• Assess project risks and suggest solutions
• Work closely with project managers to align estimates with goals
• Ensure smooth handoff of project details to execution teams
• Monitor market rates and update estimates as needed
• Ensure compliance with industry standards
• Mentor junior estimators and support team development
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction
• Estimator 6+ years in heavy civil construction, 3+ years estimating
• Senior Estimator 10+ years in heavy civil construction, 7+ years estimating
• Strong knowledge of estimating methods and project planning
• Skilled in negotiations and vendor relations
• Familiar with construction site operations and safety practices
• Experience with HeavyBid or similar software preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
