Summary

Job Purpose: The Senior ERP System Developer will be part of a team supporting Global Shop Solutions (GSS) for the Galaxy Group. The role is responsible for development of solutions based on a design which meets the enhancement requirements as requested by various departments utilizing the ERP system. The role will include upgrades and maintenance of GSS as well as integrations with Paperless Parts, payroll solution providers, machine metrics, dashboards and other integrations as needed to support the business.

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Proactively communicate, collaborate and build relationships with business users, IT team and support teams
  • Manage project assignments to successful completion with limited direction and within assigned deadlines
  • Provide reliable and informative project status to supervisors and business users
  • Develop and monitor project plans to track and project results
  • Proactively identify, document and resolve issues
  • Evaluate user requirements and implement working solutions through system design, analysis, testing, training and documentation
  • Apply technical and business knowledge in the analysis of user requirements
  • Work with business users during development to resolve issues that arise during development process
  • Work with business users to define dash boards and other tools to bring interactive data to the production floor
  • Support IT team with cybersecurity solution
  • Assist in other IT department initiatives such as configure new workstations, printers and other IT related devices, troubleshoot end user computer issues for both software and hardware
  • Able to accomplish tasks within deadlines and outside normal office hours, as business requires
  • Perform additional support as assigned to help the team meet overall goals and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business information systems or equivalent experience with 3+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency with GSS ERP software is recommended, along with high a level experience in using Microsoft Office products to manage and interpret large amounts of data.
  • Proficient in the following programming languages: PSQL, PHP, Visual Basic, HTML, XML
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written).
  • Possess a high level of critical thinking.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to complete tasks with limited support staff.
  • Willingness to work additional hours if critical deadlines require it.
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of business records.
