Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Architect with a proven track record in data pipeline management and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and managing complex, scalable systems in regulated, high-stakes environments. You will work closely with the CTO to drive technology modernization by automating infrastructure and building efficient data pipelines.

Requirements

  • This role is onsite (5days onsite / week)
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications And Experience

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture with a strong focus on infrastructure automation and data pipeline development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Azure Cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Blob Storage, as well as Azure Data Factory and Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks (including Delta Lake and MLflow).
  • Proven background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
  • Solid understanding of network security, RHEL, Apache, and Nginx configurations in regulated environments.
  • Experience with legacy system migration and managing hybrid environments during cloud transition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies including Jenkins, Ansible, git, and terraform.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) large datasets from various sources.
  • Proven experience in Big Data analytics platforms such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks for data processing, analytics, and machine learning.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks environment, including working with Delta Lake, Spark clusters, and MLflow for model management and deployment.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Automation:

  • Implement and manage IaC strategies to automate deployment and configuration of cloud infrastructure.

Data Pipeline & Analytics Platform Management

  • Oversee the design and development of scalable data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines using Databricks and other big data tools.
  • Optimize data workflows, ensuring efficient processing and integration of both structured and unstructured data.

System Architecture & Modernization

  • Design robust, high-performance systems that support critical business operations within a regulated DOJ environment.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance system scalability, performance, and security.

Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Technology Directorate and Expert Analysis Group to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Mentor teams in best practices for infrastructure automation and data analytics.
