Mechanical Design Project Manager

📍 South Burnaby, BC | Full-Time | Permanent | $90,000 - $120,000 plus benefits

We’re looking for a driven Mechanical Design Project Manager to lead a high-performing team on HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design projects. This role bridges technical design and team leadership, with a direct impact on client outcomes and project profitability.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage all aspects of small to mid-sized mechanical design projects
• Oversee team workflows, task assignments, and deliverables
• Act as primary liaison with clients and stakeholders
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Coordinate with construction teams on design-build initiatives

Must-Have Experience:

• 5+ years in mechanical design (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)
• 2+ years in a project management role within consulting engineering
• P.Eng. designation (or eligible)
• Strong AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling skills
• Proven track record managing internal teams and external relationships

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with local building codes and quality assurance practices
• Experience preparing schematic and design development reports
• Involvement in professional associations or industry events
• Prior collaboration with construction teams on integrated projects
