Job Overview - Leena AI is seeking an experienced and driven Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic team of engineers in building scalable and robust solutions. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of our Node.js-based backend and frontend systems, ensuring high-quality delivery and architectural integrity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and stakeholders, to design and implement scalable, high-performance systems. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding our team through technical challenges and fostering a culture of innovation.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend and frontend engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes technical excellence.
• System Design & Architecture: Own the architectural vision for our platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Project Planning & Execution: Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple technical projects from inception to delivery. Ensure on-time, high-quality releases.
• Technical Oversight: Provide hands-on technical guidance in Node.js, MongoDB, REST APIs, and other key technologies. Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine development processes and workflows to increase team productivity and code quality. Implement CI/CD pipelines and other automation techniques.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, UX/UI teams, and stakeholders in implementation and customer support teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a Tier 1 college.
• Experience: 7+ years of software development experience with expertise in Node.js, MongoDB, REST APIs, and cloud-based infrastructure. 2+ years of leadership or management experience in a software engineering environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and scaling distributed systems. Proficiency in both backend and frontend technologies.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Problem Solving & Decision Making: Ability to think strategically about system architecture and solve complex engineering challenges.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
