As a Senior Engineer specializing in beauty packaging, you will take a leadership role in driving our product development initiatives. Your technical expertise and execution capabilities will be critical in ensuring the successful creation and launch of innovative beauty packaging solutions. While your technical education background from engineering school is a must, your experience and ability to lead projects are also essential.

Responsibilities

Product Development and Project Management:

• Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the product development process from construction design, CAD creation, sample development to product validation and start of mass production
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define design inputs, solve engineering problems, and optimize product designs
• Create detailed 3D and 2D product designs for rapid prototyping, presentations, and tooling development
• Participate in design evaluations (e.g., FEA, simulated use testing)
• Responsible to document the data from EVT, DVT and PVT
• Work closely with the quality team and suppliers to define technical solutions and corrective actions during both the New Product Development (NPD) stage and mass production
  
  

Supplier Collaboration and Material Sourcing

• Support cross-functional teams in material and supplier sourcing
• Drive discussions with our suppliers to collect feedback and consolidate input on solutions
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and assembly, producing functioning prototypes
  
  

Quality Assurance and Specifications

• Follow product specifications and testing requirements in collaboration with the quality team to define product specifications and testing requirements
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory processes during development and validation
  
  

Project Management

• Oversee project planning, milestones, and execution
• Prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and communicate effectively with project teams and management

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a product engineer or mechanical engineer in a similar role
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skill internally with cross functional team and externally with suppliers
• Degree holder or above in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering or related disciplines
• Working experience in factory, especially in plastic or metal related product is a plus
• Cosmetic / consumer product manufacturing process is a plus
• Strong in product development, preferably with in-depth practical knowledge and knowhow on:
• Rapid prototyping
• Plastic injection molding
• Metal processing e.g. die-casting, stamping, CNC machining, etc.
• Surface finishing e.g. electroplating, metallization, anodization, PVD, etc.
• Profession in the use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks on plastic and metal product design is a must
• Able to manage projects individually with minor guidance
• Good command of English and Mandarin
• Frequent travel to factory is required
