Job Title: Sr. Engineer Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience. Minimum Academic Qualifications: 3-year Diploma in Engineering / B.Tech / B.E. Role Summary: The Sr. Engineer will provide L2/L3 network and hardware support for servers, storage, 3PAR, and networking equipment. This role involves guiding L1 support staff for installation or break-fix support, resolving incidents, and occasionally visiting customer sites for complex issues. Ensuring customer satisfaction is a key aspect of this role. Responsibilities: Provide L3/L2 support for hardware and network calls. Analyze server logs for accurate diagnosis. Guide field engineers to resolve incidents to customer satisfaction. Personally attend to complex incidents in the field if required. Break down complex problems into actionable solutions. Maintain and install patch and revision upgrades, and latest firmware on all storage and switch systems. Research, evaluate, install, configure, test, and maintain innovative storage-related computing hardware and software systems, coordinating with vendors as needed. Provide technical leadership and partner with fellow engineers to design and build mission-critical storage systems. Inform consultants and operations staff of system events and their impact. Conduct training courses for junior engineers to refresh their technical knowledge. Enhance technical knowledge by familiarizing with new devices/models launched by OEMs. Lead the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of complex network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network connectivity and performance issues. Implement and enforce network security policies and practices. Install, configure, and troubleshoot active network devices. Develop and deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities. Lead incident response and manage escalated support tickets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deliverables. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network and hardware configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices. Design local area networks with multiple layers of switches, routers, and network security devices. Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks. Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs. Identify issues in specific devices and resolve through hardware repair or replacement. Conduct audits of network security infrastructure and identify vulnerabilities. Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage. Required Skills: Mandatory: Expertise in diagnosing and replacing parts for servers/storage (e.g., 3PAR, MSA, Dell Epsilon, IBM storage, HPE Synergy, tape library). Knowledge of diagnostic systems/tools for HPE, Dell, Lenovo/IBM equipment. Experience in server installation, testing, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of RAID configurations and tools used in IBM/HPE/Dell servers/storage/3PAR. Skills in system check-up, on-site setup, tune-up, assessment, and diagnostics. Ability to install, repair, or rebuild Windows server/Linux operating systems. Proven experience as a network specialist or in a relevant position. Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing escalated support requests. Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Good communication skills. Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies. Hands-on experience with common software and hardware. Valid CCNA or similar certification preferred.
