This role will be part of Slalom’s Financial Technology (FinTech) team. This is a shared services team comprised of all technology enablement, business intelligence and data, and project delivery teams that seek to improve the day-to-day operations of our Accounting & Finance and Operations team and business stakeholders. Slalom’s Finance Technology Team is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Engineer.
What You’ll Do
- Translate business requirements into well-architected, maintainable solutions that best meet the needs and desired outcomes of Accounting & Finance, and the overall business
- Participate in technical design sessions; develop technical solution documentation aligned with the business objectives
- Develop, test, and document integrations in our application portfolio
- Write and implement test plans for all needed test cycles that ensure quality delivery
- Be an active member on a growing team, follow and continually refine standards, best practices, and participate in code reviews
- Work with business units, and technical resources as necessary to achieve the appropriate and desired solution for the business
- Actively participate in iterative proof of concept exercises to explore solution options
- Provide estimates to implement solutions based on business requirements
- Assess and create recommendations around future needs and capabilities of our systems and tools, including evaluation of patches and upgrades, as well as potential changes to our coding standards
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building and maintaining enterprise-level architectures, designing, and developing cloud-based applications mainly using AWS and Oracle REST APIs
- Strong proficiency in software development using TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, JSON, and SQL
- Relevant experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Integration Cloud, VB Studio Oracle, and Oracle base tables, along with familiarity with OTBI
- Skilled in working within agile/scrum development teams, collaborating effectively in fast-paced environments
- Expertise in software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, complemented by strong programming and analytical skills
- Extensive knowledge of cloud enterprise architectures, ERP systems, serverless API development, database development, SaaS applications, and microservices
- Familiarity with Azure cloud solutions, ADO CI/CD, .NET, Boomi, and ChangePoint ERP is a plus

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $120,000 to $150,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
