Role Summary:

As a Senior Engineer you’ll be working closely with the Regional Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer, supporting all Technical enquiries in region.

Such as supporting Sales, Solutions and Proposal Support Requests on all technical enquiries and system and product upgrades. Next to this you will closely working with Quick Response Centre and Project Engineering on handover and implementation of technical solutions or upgrades, including problem resolving and troubleshooting during manufacture, assembly and testing.

You’ll become the subject matter expert and provides support to internal and external customers on proposals, orders, root cause analysis in the area of expertise.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Assists Sales/Solutions through customer presentations promoting Flowserve technology & application expertise.
• Provides Sales assistance for engineering consulting services for pump problem identification & solution as well as predictive & preventative maintenance programs.
• Analyzes pump/system performance and performs analysis and determine impact of system variables.
• Deep knowledge and know-how in the specialty field and is considered a subject matter expert, both internal Flowserve as well as for customers.
• Cascades knowledge to other engineering resources and prepares and conduct trainings in the specialty field.
• Participates in the evaluation of technical feasibility and minimizes technical risks in our solution proposals, in the specialty field.
• Participates in design review panels, as a subject matter expert, and also participates in root-cause analyses of customer projects and in trouble/warranty jobs.
• Provides assistance in developing required work scope to solve equipment problems though pump/system/operations modifications & upgrades.
• Understands and supports all Company objectives and performs duties delegated by management.
• Demonstrates the ability and willingness to be a team player.
  
  

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor or Master of Science Engineering degree, advanced degree preferred and 5+ years related experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing & field environment.
• In the field of specialism, the knowledge and experience must be state-of-the-art in industry, to act as an internal and external subject matter expert.
• Demonstrates competence to edit and develop technical papers, technical reports, technical training and customer presentations, in the field of specialism.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Demonstrates "customer focus" to support all internal/external technical support requests.
• you are an expert in performing high-end engineering analysis and show in-depth knowledge of specific product lines.
• Demonstrates subject matter expert knowledge of product development and represents Flowserve Engineering in Customer discussions and troubleshooting.
