In this role, you will:

About the Position:


You will have the opportunity to build on existing work while bringing fresh ideas and productization experience to the team. This role reports directly to our CTO.

This is a full-time, permanent position, we expect the candidate to start in Q2 and to join us on-site at our office in Espoo, Finland.


Your Responsibilities will be:


  • Design and develop real-time control for power converters and power electronic systems in demanding high-frequency applications.
  • Implement embedded software using microprocessors and FPGAs for time critical control and deploy it on target hardware.
  • Debug and optimize embedded software for efficiency, memory usage, and real-time constraints.
  • Integrate industry-standard communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, and RS485.
  • Validate controller performance with real hardware by setting up testing environments.
  • Set up SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) simulations using real-time target machines.
  • Participate in system design, development, and optimization processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and test prototypes.
  • Innovate and contribute to intellectual property (IP) creation for competitive advantage.


What will help you to get there:


  • Proven experience in real-time control implementation for commercial products.
  • Strong expertise in embedded C/C++, FPGA programming, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Proficiency in MathWorks Simulink and MATLAB for modeling and simulation.
  • Experience with SIL and HIL validation platforms (e.g., dSPACE, Speedgoat).
  • Ability to debug and optimize embedded software for performance and memory efficiency.
  • Knowledge of EV charging components, including BMS, charging controllers, and related systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with power electronics or similar application areas, control theory, and digital signal processing (DSP).
