Role: Senior Electrical Engineer – Solar PV

Location: Ireland- Remote (With some site visits)

The Role

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take technical ownership of solar projects across all stages – from early design through to construction and commissioning.

You’ll lead on grid connection, losses, cable layouts, and equipment specification, working closely with EPC and project managers.

This role is ideal for someone who has delivered utility-scale PV projects in Ireland and is ready to take the next step.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and optimise electrical design, especially around cable losses and layouts
• Coordinate with grid operators and manage connection timelines
• Support project execution across multiple active construction sites
• Work with in-house PMs and EPC partners to ensure technical compliance
• Provide field reports and ensure projects meet Irish standards

What You’ll Need

• 4+ years in electrical engineering for renewable energy (solar preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of LV/MV/HV systems and grid compliance
• Experience with PVsyst and engineering design tools
• Based in Ireland with travel flexibility
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related
