Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in tender review, design evaluation, and technical office operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing electrical designs, evaluating tender documents, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role is essential in supporting project execution, optimizing electrical systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with the estimation team.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry codes, and company standards.
• Conduct value engineering assessments to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Review electrical designs, drawings, and calculations to ensure technical accuracy.
• Assess design compliance with local and international standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
• Recommend modifications and improvements to enhance system performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
• Provide technical support to site teams during project execution.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, reports, and progress updates.
• Ensure proper documentation of technical approvals and project deliverables.
• Support procurement teams in selecting electrical materials and equipment.
• Ensure that electrical systems comply with safety regulations and project standards.
• Conduct technical evaluations and risk assessments to identify potential issues.
• Coordinate with quality control teams to implement best practices and corrective actions.
• Work closely with the MEP, civil, and structural teams to ensure electrical integration.
• Liaise with consultants and clients to address technical concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on technical office work, design review, and tendering in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and ELV systems.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, and Dialux.
• Familiarity with international and local electrical codes (NEC, IEC, IEEE).
• Experience in preparing BOQs, technical proposals, and material submittals.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred.
