Senior Director of Technical Support & Training | San Francisco, CA | USA Territory

The Opportunity:

We're supporting our client, a leading US PV system business, in finding a Senior Director of Technical Support & Training to lead technical support and training operations. In this role, you will champion customer satisfaction, drive technical excellence, and collaborate across engineering, product, and R&D teams to ensure optimal product performance and service delivery. You will also act as the final point of escalation on technical issues and set standards for training and support. What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor the technical support team to deliver expert-level solutions to customers.
• Oversee escalated technical issues and drive root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage internal and external training programs to enhance technical competency and customer knowledge.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Product teams to integrate customer feedback into future product improvements.
• Identify and implement process improvements for faster, more efficient support.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point, ensuring timely and accurate customer communications.
• Establish KPIs to monitor and report on support and training effectiveness.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
• 5+ years of leadership experience in technical support, ideally within solar, energy storage, or energy systems.
• Expertise in solar inverters, energy storage systems, and grid integration troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership profile with a customer-first, solution-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
