Job Summary:
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining an integrated technology roadmap that aligns with business objectives, drives innovation, and maximizes strategic value. This role ensures a coherent, secure, and extensible IT architecture while providing technology thought leadership and bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions across enterprise-wide systems and data architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Roadmap and Strategy
* Develop, refine, and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with the organization's business strategies.
* Define and maintain Enterprise Architecture strategies, principles, vision, standards, tools, and methodologies.
* Ensure all IT systems and solutions contribute to business goals with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
Enterprise and Data Architecture
* Create and manage enterprise architecture models and design components across business, application, data, and technology layers.
* Lead data architecture efforts by developing, integrating, and maintaining accurate, consistent data models that drive reliable analytics and decision-making.
* Advocate for the deployment of data and analytics platforms that integrate diverse data sources, ensuring data integrity and value extraction.
Integration and Implementation
* Define and drive the adoption of enterprise application integration capabilities, including the use of services-based architectures and data integration technologies.
* Champion standard software engineering methodologies and visual modeling tools (e.g., UML) for defining both technology and data architectures.
* Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of technology projects, from requirements analysis and vendor/product selection to deployment, testing, and production support.
Leadership and Collaboration
* Act as a technology thought leader by providing guidance on complex project issues and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams.
* Foster best practices and knowledge-sharing within the organization and the wider industry community.
* Collaborate with IT infrastructure architects, in-house teams, partners, and vendors to plan and deliver future state infrastructure and solutions.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure that evolving technologies are integrated into the enterprise architecture effectively.
Requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of full stack technology concepts, including enterprise applications, and data architecture.
* Extensive experience with object-oriented design and modeling, as well as enterprise application integration frameworks.
* Proven experience with relational and dimensional database modeling.
* Strong background in deploying cloud-enabled solutions and modern IT infrastructure planning.
* Proficiency with visual modeling tools (e.g., UML) for articulating complex technology and data architectures.
* Familiarity with standard software engineering methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
* Experience participating in or leading complex, full lifecycle software deployment projects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to provide vision and direction, manage cross-functional teams, and foster collaboration.
* Proven record of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and driving technology innovation within an enterprise context.
