Role Overview:

As our Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will wear many hats as part of a lean startup team. You’ll design and maintain AWS-based architectures, refine CI/CD processes, and guide data pipelines, all while making high-level decisions that shape our platform. This is a hands-on, senior role demanding a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) principles, ensuring it’s secure, scalable, and ISO27001-compliant.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and application engineers to optimize robust, high-performance data workflows.
  • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for building, testing, and deploying.
  • Implement and oversee logging and monitoring solutions (DataDog, CloudWatch) to ensure system reliability.
  • Mentor team members, advocate for best practices, and lead cross-functional discussions.
  • Integrate security protocols throughout, maintaining a strong security and compliance posture.
  • Continuously explore ways to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Adapt to various startup needs, from cost optimization to research on emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Cloud/DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer role or equivalent.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) and best practices; certifications are a bonus.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Proficiency in server-side languages (Python preferred) for automation and tooling.
  • Solid track record using observability tools like DataDog, CloudWatch, or New Relic.
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 and a strong security mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, switching gears as needed.
  • Bonus: background or interest in sports data management.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary.
  • An equity incentive plan that provides the opportunity for ownership in the company.
  • Chance to contribute to groundbreaking work in sports performance and health biomarker analysis.
  • Opportunity to work alongside top-tier soccer clubs and high-level sports organizations.
  • An appreciative working place with the opportunity to shape the work environment.
  • Great availability of the company by train or car (two train stations, Nextbike station, free parking, e-car chargers available).
  • High remote office flexibility.
