Your territory
As part of our innovative Software Development team, you will:
Design, operate, and optimize highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS-based infrastructure
Define and manage cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK and CloudFormation
Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Bitbucket Pipelines
Elevate practices to achieve best-in-class operational excellence by continuously optimizing how Tractive’s systems are operated
Implement security best practices in cloud environments, network security, and data protection
Deploy and manage containerized applications using AWS ECS, Docker Swarm, and similar technologies
Mentor engineers, foster knowledge-sharing, and contribute to strategic initiatives
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to maintain system reliability
Bring in fresh ideas to make Tractive better – you’ll never hear the phrase, “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”
Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show potential, and attend workshops that help get to the next level
Your profile
Key requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, ideally in a high-scale SaaS environment
Background in software engineering with knowledge of distributed systems, algorithms, and data stores
Significant experience with AWS or other cloud providers like Azure or GCP
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, Ansible, or Terraform
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Bitbucket Pipelines
Extensive experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or New Relic
Strong understanding of security best practices, including identity and access management, networking, and encryption
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed systems
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Valid Austrian work permit

Salary rangeJust so you know what to expect: For this position, we offer a competitive overpayment based on qualification and experience. Annual gross salary starts at € 75.000 full-time. At Tractive, that means a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend. If you bring relevant experience in many of the fields of responsibility, the salary will be considerably higher.
