Gappify is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the evolution of our cloud infrastructure, automation, and security practices. This role requires deep expertise in DevOps, cloud security, and infrastructure automation. As a senior member of the team, you will drive strategic initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to build a highly scalable, secure, and resilient platform.

What You Will Do:

• Architect, implement, and maintain a scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring zero-downtime deployments and high availability.
• Develop and enforce security best practices, compliance frameworks (SOC 2), and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead efforts in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Champion containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices orchestration.
• Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and incident response solutions (Opentelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Cloudwatch, Opsgenie etc.).
• Automate security processes, including penetration testing, and threat modeling.
• Drive cost optimization strategies for cloud resources and infrastructure efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security and DevOps best practices into the SDLC.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices and career growth.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging DevOps and cloud security trends to continuously improve the company’s infrastructure.
  
  

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SecOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles.
• Expert-level proficiency with AWS cloud services and deep knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD automation using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or GitHub Actions.
• Advanced knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices security.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of network security, IAM policies, encryption, and cloud compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Deep expertise in monitoring and observability tools (Opentelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
• Proven leadership in mentoring, guiding teams, and driving DevOps culture.
• Experience with incident response, disaster recovery planning, and forensic analysis.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
