Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve Terraform modules across core services.
• Enhance GitHub Actions and GitLab CI pipelines with policy-as-code integrations.
• Automate Kubernetes secret management and migrate from shared init containers to native methods.
• Review and deploy Helm charts for service releases. Own rollback reliability.
• Track and resolve environment drift. Automate consistency checks between environments.
• Drive incident response tooling (Datadog + PagerDuty) and participate in post-incident reviews.
• Assist in cost-optimization efforts through resource sizing reviews.
• Implement and monitor standardized SLA/SLO targets for key services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.
• Deep technical knowledge of Terraform, Terraform Cloud, and infrastructure module design.
• Production experience managing Kubernetes clusters (preferably on GKE).
• Demonstrable expertise in CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm-based deployments).
• Proficient in securing cloud-native environments and integrating with secret management solutions such as Google Secret Manager or HashiCorp Vault.
• Hands-on experience in observability tooling, especially with Datadog.
• Strong grasp of GCP networking, service configurations, and container workload security.
• Proven ability to lead engineering initiatives, work cross-functionally, and manage infrastructure roadmaps.

Desirable Experience

• Background in implementing GitOps and automated infrastructure policy enforcement.
• Familiarity with service mesh, workload identity, and multi-cluster deployments.
• Prior experience establishing DevOps functions or maturing legacy environments.

Tools and Expectations

• Terraform / Terraform Cloud - Maintain reusable infrastructure components. Track infrastructure drift and handle versioning across workspaces.
• GitHub / GitLab / GitHub Actions - Maintain CI pipelines with enforced security gates. Define reusable workflow templates and integrate scanning tools.
• Helm - Implement structured application packaging and version control. Configure upgrade strategies and rollback automation.
• Kubernetes / GKE - Operate core workloads. Apply role-based access, enforce resource quotas, and monitor pod lifecycles.
• Secret Manager / Kubernetes Secrets - Automate syncing, monitor access, and enforce per-namespace access boundaries.
• Datadog / PagerDuty - Implement alerts with error budgeting in mind. Support escalation mapping and response tooling.
• Cloudflare / DNS / WAF - Track exposure policies and control ingress routing through IaC-based definitions.
• Snyk / SonarQube / Wiz - Set thresholds for code quality and secure deployment pipelines from vulnerabilities.
