Summary

Kuyua is on the lookout for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building scalable, reliable infrastructure and is excited to contribute directly to the development of our application. If you thrive on technical challenges and love making systems efficient, secure, and resilient, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

Design and Maintain Robust Infrastructure:

You'll be responsible for setting up and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, containerizing our applications with Docker, and managing our cloud-based deployments. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will be a core part of your work, ensuring our systems are scalable, reproducible, and secure.

Ensure High Availability and Performance:

Monitoring and logging won't just be buzzwords — you’ll integrate and maintain tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Sentry to ensure system health and catch issues before they become problems. You’ll also implement strategies for load balancing, auto-scaling, backup, and disaster recovery to keep us running smoothly no matter what.

Collaborate on Application Development:

Beyond DevOps, you'll contribute directly to the development of our platform, helping design, build, and maintain application features. You'll write clean, maintainable code following best practices and actively participate in code reviews and design discussions.

Champion Security and Best Practices:

You'll be a key player in managing secrets securely, maintaining secure pipelines, and driving continuous improvement in our DevOps practices. Security and compliance will be built into everything you do.

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering and/or cloud infrastructure management.
  • Solid hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions) and Docker; Kubernetes knowledge is a strong plus.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Practical experience setting up and maintaining monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Sentry).
  • Solid programming skills and a proactive attitude toward contributing to the development team.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) are crucial, as is the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with a proactive, creative mindset, are key. You should be a team player, comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and eager to take ownership and drive improvements.

Bonus Points For:

  • Previous experience in a startup or agile environment.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes in production.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures or microservices.
  • Passion for automation and optimizing processes.
