This is a unique job opportunity for a DevSecOps engineer, in the CloudBees platform product team, to help customers using Jenkins to onboard on to CloudBees SaaS platform. This role sits at the intersection of professional services, support and product teams. Your work will start by analyzing the customer CI/CD footprint, then defining and executing a migration plan to help customers get value from the CloudBees SaaS platform.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in DevSecOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery, feature flag or compliance space with strong listening skills, worked in mid to large companies, thrives in ambiguity, and knows how to navigate and collaborate with internal DevSecOps teams across multiple groups within customer organization. Experience working directly with customers is essential. What You'll Do
- Identify and deliver meaningful customer outcomes which will drive value from their investment in CloudBees solutions
- Serve as a customer advocate within CloudBees, ensuring customer feedback is captured and relayed to relevant teams.
- Partner with customer-facing teams to align support efforts with broader customer success initiatives.
- Promote knowledge sharing through documentation, training materials, and public-facing resources.
- Work with our product team to identify product priorities discovered in field engagements.
- Identify and incubate new SaaS product opportunities by analyzing market trends, customer pain points, and emerging technologies.
- Build & refine the product hypothesis in the DevSecOps space with the product leadership team.
What the Role Requires
- 4+ years in a DevSecOps Engineer role or Build Engineer role
- Strong understanding of how engineering teams can improve their Software Delivery Lifecycle using automation, including CI and CD
- Expertise in designing and implementation solutions on Cloud Platforms platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins (administration, architecture, user experiences, writing pipelines, job development, troubleshooting builds is a must).
- Knowledge of CI pipelines (declarative and scripted), Jenkins Pipeline, Groovy scripts, shell scripts, plugin framework etc
- DevSecOps domain understanding, hands-on using SCM-Git (Bitbucket and GitHub a must, Gitlab etc), knowledge of Docker repository.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins plugin usage and GitHub Actions usage
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery / Feature Flagging / Compliance or other DevSecOps standard methodologies.
- Familiar with software development, delivery, and operations.
- Able to confidently own the Technical Win for an opportunity, including leading customer meetings and workshops for:
- Identifying Current State solution and architecture
- Envisioning Future State
- Identifying Required Capabilities for Future State
- Positioning options to Prove Value using CloudBees offerings – including customer-specific demonstrations, hands-on labs, or other hands-on experiences
- Identifying Technical and Proof of Value decision criteria
- Producing a customer-tailored read out document and presentation of the Technical Solution
- Presenting the Technical Solution readout to customer stakeholders and establishing trust
- Experience/understanding of security tools like BlackDuck, Coverity, Tosca
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, ITIL tools
- Experienced working in distributed teams across geo locations
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal).
