Your territory

As part of our innovative Software Development team, you will:


  • Design, operate, and optimize highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS-based infrastructure
  • Define and manage cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK and CloudFormation
  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Elevate practices to achieve best-in-class operational excellence by continuously optimizing how Tractive’s systems are operated
  • Implement security best practices in cloud environments, network security, and data protection
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using AWS ECS, Docker Swarm, and similar technologies
  • Mentor engineers, foster knowledge-sharing, and contribute to strategic initiatives
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to maintain system reliability
  • Bring in fresh ideas to make Tractive better – you’ll never hear the phrase, “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”
  • Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show potential, and attend workshops that help get to the next level


Your profile

Key requirements:


  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, ideally in a high-scale SaaS environment
  • Background in software engineering with knowledge of distributed systems, algorithms, and data stores
  • Significant experience with AWS or other cloud providers like Azure or GCP
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, Ansible, or Terraform
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Extensive experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or New Relic
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, including identity and access management, networking, and encryption
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed systems
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Valid Austrian work permit
