JOB DETAILS:
• Under immediate direction of the engineer manager, conducts end-to-end activities of new repair projects as related to product research, test plan development, testbed buildout, and hands-on training
• Collaborate with Manager TSC Production to manage and resolve escalated technical issues arising from operations, internal and external customers
• Assists repair technicians in troubleshooting new failures discovered during testing
• Collects test/repair data and performs Failure Mode Analysis (FMA) to determine the root causes as required.
• Actively collaborate to improve testing process, tools, and methodology
• Responsible for scheduled maintenance and calibration of customer-owned testers
• Creates, modifies, and maintains in an organized manner technical acceptance testing documents and test datasheets
• Develop test plan, test hardware and software through its development cycle, from requirement definition through deployment at TSC in Coppell, other locations or customer facilities.
Work with Production team to ensure the test equipment required for production adheres to operational standards.
• Actively identify test readiness issues and optimizations through development phrase or test plan change process.
• Support day-to-day operation, including on-site or remote troubleshooting and debugging, both independently and in collaboration with engineers from customers or test equipment supplier
• Collaborate with Production Manager to manage and resolve escalated technical issues arising from operations, internal and external customers.
• Perform root cause analysis and assist technicians in troubleshooting new failures discovered during testing.
• Actively collaborate to improve testing process, tools, and methodology.
• Responsible for scheduled maintenance and calibration of customer-owned testers.
• Lead a small team to meet established project schedule and performance commitments.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience (i.e., minimum of at least 5 years of experience if you do not have a degree)
• Experience in repair lab equipment and techniques is highly preferred
• Hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience with wireless radio components such as digital/baseband unit, remote radio, point-to-point microwave, etc.
• Solid understanding of RF principles, wireless network infrastructure and data network protocols
• Experience with 3GPP standards (FDD, TDD, 5G NR, LTE)
• Experience using RF test equipment tools (Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Network Analyzer, etc.)
• Experience with programing/scripting languages C#, Python or JavaScript
• Ability to be flexible with job duties and scope of work
• Occasional travel to other locations or customer locations may be required
