Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Desktop Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and management of our enterprise endpoint environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and patch management processes, ensuring the security and efficiency of our desktop infrastructure. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in endpoint management and to support the organization's IT objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Endpoint Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage endpoint configurations using Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
  • Develop and maintain standardized desktop and laptop images for Windows 10/11 environments.
  • Oversee device compliance policies and ensure alignment with organizational security standards.
  • Patch Management:
  • Plan and execute monthly security patch deployments across all endpoints using Intune.
  • Monitor patch compliance and generate reports for management and auditing purposes.
  • Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and implement remediation strategies.
  • Application Deployment:
  • Package and deploy applications through Intune and SCCM, ensuring seamless installation and updates.
  • Test and validate software packages in controlled environments before wide-scale deployment.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Provide Tier 3 support for complex desktop-related issues, serving as an escalation point for the IT support team.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems affecting endpoint devices.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes to the desktop environment.
  • Ensure all desktop management activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in desktop engineering or a similar role within a large enterprise environment.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM for device and application management.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop security practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
