Role Description

We’re looking for a Senior Design Manager/Project Director to oversee the design of a major precinct redevelopment.

You’ll be responsible for managing and coordinating various design consultants, stakeholders and the project briefs, for building-related projects.

Located at our Melbourne Airport office, you’ll also:

• Coordinate the project brief, scope of works and technical drawings that will be used to manage the construction process.
• Maintain design records and documentation, ensuring drawings and approvals are coordinated as required.
• Chair design meetings with key stakeholders, as well as make recommendations and provide timely advice.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you’ll need demonstrated experience as a Design Manager, Senior Design Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Director or Technical Director within the property and building industry.

You’ll ideally need to have worked on Major projects with a significant budget worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Whilst experience in the Aviation Sector is desirable, this role would also suit someone who has operated in a Design Management capacity overseeing Shopping Mall/Retail precinct redevelopments, Sports, Recreation & Entertainment precincts, Hotels and Commercial precincts.

You’ll also need:

• Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with busy stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
• A willingness to work with team members and deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
• Qualifications in Architecture, Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
