This role offers a unique blend of geotechnical expertise, structural design, and innovative construction techniques.\n\nSenior Design Engineer Job Overview\n\nTunnel & Shaft Design - Develop structurally sound and geotechnically optimized designs for various underground projects.\nExcavation & Ground Stability - Assess and ensure safe excavation techniques, slope stability, and shoring solutions using industry-standard geotechnical principles.\nImpact Assessments - Evaluate tunnelling effects on third-party assets and obtain necessary approvals from National Highways, Network Rail ect\nTechnical Reporting - Prepare high-quality design reports and progress updates for stakeholders and clientsSpecialist Design Work - Contribute to complex designs, including:\n\nShaft buoyant stability, reinforced concrete bases, and cover slabs.\nTunnel designs for Microtunnelling, Pipejacking, HDD, Augerbore, and Timber Headings.\nEarthworks and soil nailing solutions.\nCrane platforms and temporary works design.
