Prometeia is looking for talented and motivated professionals with a passion for data science and a drive for innovation to join our Data Science team as Senior Deep Learning Engineer, contributing to transformative projects in the banking and insurance sectors.
The Prometeia Data Science team supports the digital transformation of banks and insurance companies using the most advanced data science techniques. Our Deep Learning team develops and delivers new cutting-edge products constituting the foundation for the present and future of these industries. From object detection and image segmentation to foundation models and generative AI, we are committed to transforming initial concepts and emerging technologies into fully developed products. We focus on continuous iteration, prototyping and solution refinement to create valuable and highly innovative services and products. Leveraging advanced Computer Vision techniques – such as segmentation, object detection, and foundation models – along with generative AI methods for time series analysis and synthetic data generation, we deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet real-world needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Senior Deep Learning Engineer, you will:
• Design and develop innovative algorithms for real time object detection (both 2D and 3D), instance/semantic segmentation, depth estimation, scene reconstruction and understanding.
• Design and develop innovative algorithms to generate synthetic time-series data, classification, clustering and anomaly detection.
• Read, understand and transform the most recent published literature into code
• Analyze model results and highlight the next actions to be taken to improve them.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, NLP, Machine Learning, or related f
ields.
• 2+ years of experience developing and designing Deep Learning algorithms.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages, especially Python and C++, and hands-on experience with libraries such as OpenCV, PyTorch and Pytorch-Lightning.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Experience in Deep Learning models training and ML dataset management
• Experience with git and Azure Machine Learning or equivalent (GCP Vertex AI, Amazon SageMaker, …).
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, NLP, Machine Learning, Robotics or related field.
• Background in machine learning with experience in large-scale DL models training and evaluation.
• Experience in semi-supervised, self-supervised and weak-supervised learning
• Track record of publications at conferences related to computer vision, NLP and/or machine learning
