This role requires expertise in SSIS, SQL Server, and large-scale data conversion. The selected resource will lead efforts to map, transform, test, and migrate legacy data into a modern relational database environment, ensure integrity and performance of migrated data, and participate in Agile-based delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and document the data conversion scope, strategy, and requirements.
• Map legacy data elements to new system tables, defining transformation and foreign key rules.
• Develop ETL modules using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Create and execute SQL queries for validation and analysis across databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SSIS errors and performance issues independently.
• Review and test conversion programs for accuracy and integration.
• Validate data performance post-conversion within the target application.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, design sessions, and status meetings.
• Conduct peer code reviews and provide mentorship and technical documentation.
• Train and support State personnel with technical knowledge transfer.
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience with:
· SSIS-based ETL development.
· Complex SQL query development in SQL Server.
· SQL Server Agent (SSA) management.
· Relational database design and troubleshooting.
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with GitHub version control, including complex branching strategies.
• Previous involvement in data conversion projects.
• Strong understanding of data quality assurance processes.
• Experience with JIRA for task tracking.
• Exposure to mainframe systems and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
Work Hours:
• Core business hours: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central Time.
• Occasional work during weekends or State holidays may be required.
