Position Summary: The DevOps team is responsible for provisioning, maintaining, and monitoring systems and services on AWS, ensuring seamless operation and scalability. We collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and other cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence. Our goal is to monitor and improve operational excellence through self-service project templates, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and other automation. We are looking for an experienced DBA to join our team, who is passionate about cloud computing, automation, and collaboration. Required Experience: * Expertise managing, tuning, and securing PostgreSQL & MySQL in large-scale, high-availability production environments. * Proven ability to design, implement, and manage HA/DR solutions (replication, backup, and recovery). * Advanced performance troubleshooting, query optimization, and execution plan analysis capabilities. * Understanding of data pipeline, ETL, and replication topics. * Experience automating routine tasks and proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. * Experience ensuring database configurations meet compliance requirements. * Proficiency with database access control best practices Preferred Experience * Understand basic networking concepts and VPCs * Hands-on experience managing NoSQL databases, notably DynamoDB * Experience with cloud resources and technologies in AWS or another public provider * Understanding of or experience with MPP database concepts/platforms (Snowflake) * B.S. in computer science, related degree, or equivalent work experience. The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 USD to $155,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
