DecisiveInstincts, LLC is actively seeking a Senior Data Scientist with an active TS/SCI clearance to support high-impact national security missions in the DC/VA/MD area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of data science and analytics, particularly with Python, and have a proven ability to design and execute machine learning and statistical analysis projects while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with national security investigators and analysts to understand data science needs, recommend solutions, and deliver results in a timely manner.
• Lead and/or design machine learning (ML), statistical, and data analysis efforts.
• Perform and/or customize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to aggregate and prepare data from multiple repositories for analysis.
• Interpret data, identify key features and model variables, assess model quality, and suggest or implement remediation strategies.
• Innovate new methods for handling, analyzing, and managing large-scale data and datasets.
• Explore core issues related to data search, handling, and retention.
• Design and develop new software solutions to enhance data search and processing.
• Test and validate data quality and processing pipelines.
• Automate data workflows and repetitive analysis tasks to increase efficiency.
• Communicate analysis results and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.
  
  

Required (Must Haves):

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• High proficiency in Python
• Demonstrated expertise in data science, data analytics, machine learning, or statistical analysis
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Eight (8) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Information Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field OR
• Four (4) years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
