What You'll Do
Our global team is seeking a commercially-minded Senior Data Scientist who can design and build solutions that will be used in many markets around the world. In this role, you will have access to a variety of data sources to create and validate AI and ML models.
You will operate as the Data Science business partner for North America, working closely with Sales and Professional Services teams to understand and advise on the Data Science needs of our customers. You will also work closely with our Product and Technology teams to allow us to develop, improve and innovate on our use of advanced analytical approaches within our software products.

This is a remote role but our new colleague must be based in the USA. Occasional travel may be required to regional team meet-ups and client meetings.
Your Responsibilities
* Identify and source relevant data to build, calibrate and deploy state-of-the-art models using the latest AI/ML technologies and methods.
* Understand the problems of our clients, designing appropriate Data Science solutions that meet their business requirements.
* Partner with our Engineering team to integrate ML and AI solutions within Provenir products.
* While working in a fast-paced environment, interpret, document and successfully communicate solutions to stakeholders, including those in non-technical and senior management roles.
* Provide expert input into future analytical strategies and product development
* Raise the standard of the team through coaching and mentoring other Data Scientists.
* Provide technical guidance to the Sales, Pre-Sales and Professional Services on commercial Data Science opportunities across North America.
Your Strengths and Skills
* You have at least 7 years experience in a data science role, including hands-on experience in developing supervised and unsupervised advanced machine learning algorithms.
* You have strong data wrangling and manipulation skills for merging, cleansing, and sampling data
* You have domain experience in Fraud, Credit Risk Management or Marketing analytics.
* You actively participate in team meetings and can clearly and concisely articulate.
* You will take initiative, learn quickly and are able to adapt to shifting priorities.
Although not essential, it would be great if you also have any of these strengths,
* You have B2B client-facing experience, where you can talk confidently about ML products.
* You follow best practices across the MLOps lifecycle (e.g. CI/CD, pipeline orchestration and containerization).
* You have experience in leading projects involving other Data Scientists.
Interview Process
The interview process would typically be structured as follows:
* Initial chat. This will be with a member of our recruitment team to get a better understanding of your current situation, what you are looking for and any questions you may have.
* Technical Challenge. This is a take home task where you will solve a typical Data Science problem in your own time. It will give you an insight into the exciting problems we solve.
* Technical Interview. This will be with your potential team members and primarily consist of technical questions.
* Stakeholder Interview. This will be with senior stakeholders from the Product and Professional Services teams, and cover mostly business and behavioural competencies.
