We’re looking for a business-driven Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics and machine learning projects in the retail and consumer goods sector. You will work closely with marketing, sales, and category teams to build models that drive customer insights, campaign optimization, demand forecasting, and pricing strategies.
With experience across leading Nordic retailers and FMCG brands, you’ll be at the heart of transforming how businesses interact with their customers using advanced, interpretable, and scalable analytics solutions.
As part of this role, you will work on tasks such as:
Automating marketing personalization for omni-channel retail
Building store-level sales and visitor forecasts to optimize staffing and merchandising
Evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns and external factors like weather or holidays on revenue
Developing interpretable machine learning models to support pricing decisions
Required Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement customer-level predictive models for CLV, churn, segmentation and marketing optimization
Lead end-to-end data science projects across retail, FMCG and e-commerce environments
Build forecasting models for sales, demand, and footfall across store and product hierarchies
Collaborate with commercial teams to optimize campaigns, pricing, and promotions
Translate complex data findings into actionable business recommendations
Qualifications
5+ years of data science experience in retail, FMCG or marketing analytics
Proven track record with customer segmentation, campaign analysis and demand forecasting
Hands-on experience with Python, R, SQL, Tableau and Shiny
Strong business acumen and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Bonus: Experience with Nordic retail clients
