Integra’s data governance/modeling practice is starting to grow and there is a need to augment the current group. As a Sr. Data Governance Specialist, the primary responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining a robust Data Governance framework, creating standards, and policies, and implementing them. Furthermore, this position will require adapting current standards and assisting with data/metadata administration, as well as ensuring data quality, consistency, and security through the data lifecycle. This position would require extensive Data Modeling experience, designing transactional and analytic databases/systems, gathering metadata about critical elements, and business rules, and mapping information for data movement exercises. While most modeling tool experience is acceptable, we strongly prefer someone with ERWin modeling experience and knowledge of other offerings such as ModelMart as well as experience working with Data Cataloging tools. Responsibilities: Reverse engineer existing databases and document metadata definitions as needed. Organize data model presentation to be meaningful for analysis. Compare various models for the same subject area and map similar objects, documenting the metadata. Assure completeness of definition by interviews and work with data stewards and business owners. Maintain models in ERWin Mart Repository. Consider known requirements and future flexibility to abstract data requirements and devise flexible and robust Data Models for application and/or analytic needs. Create logical/physical data models in ERWin. Conform to existing enterprise standards for data definition and data model practices. Conduct/ participate in peer reviews of data models to assure conformance to standards and practices and to assure a good solution fit to requirements and business goals. Ability to draft good definitions for attributes, business terms etc. Create and maintain lineage information. Assist with governance activities including but not limited to creating standards, business rules, and data literacy. Experience with collecting and documenting business glossaries & critical data elements. Assist with compliance-related activities related to regulatory standards such as HIPAA. Prior experience with expert determination processes and working with deidentified. Experience in communicating and educating teams on governance best practices, and liaising between teams to promote efficient data management. Experience with monitoring and reporting on data governance processes. Qualifications 5-7 years as a Data modeler and 12+ overall experience Experience with Logical & Physical Data model design and definition, including analysis of implemented databases. Experience working with ERWin Data Modeler. Experience working with ERWin ModelMart library. Healthcare and Oncology experience is required. Understand different data sources and assist in writing mapping specifications. Experience with expert determination and de-identification processes. Good communication skills to explain data models to non-technical staff. Experience working on complex projects with multiple teams onshore and offshore. Team player but the ability to work independently given specific tasks. Data Governance practice, tools & technologies. ERWin Modeling Suite (ERWin data modeler, ModelMart). Adept in gathering metadata around models, entities and attributes – including definitions. Advanced SQL Server, Snowflake skills. Data cataloging tool experience. Familiarity with ETL technology such as DBT.
