Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of building and managing scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms. This role requires hands-on experience in cloud-based data engineering, particularly with Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks.
• Optimize and write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Integrate data from various structured and unstructured sources into a centralized data platform.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to support data needs.
• Ensure data quality, data governance, and security policies are adhered to.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high data reliability.
• Contribute to data architecture decisions and best practices in cloud data engineering.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering with relevant tools and technologies.
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) – pipelines, triggers, activities, linked services, etc.
• Proficiency in Databricks – notebooks, cluster management, PySpark/Spark SQL, and data transformations.
• Advanced SQL skills – complex joins, window functions, performance tuning, etc.
• Good understanding of data modeling, ETL frameworks, and cloud data warehousing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications such as DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure are a plus.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD for data pipelines is an advantage.
• Knowledge of other Azure services like Azure Synapse, Data Lake, or Logic Apps is a bonus.
